Rox

Rox is my real first name, and the picture is really me, but the rest shall remain a mystery.  My children are not named Petunia (age 7) and Dash, (age 2) but those are their actual nicknames.  The Guv's moniker comes from his hair, which is thick and poofy, leading business school classmates to call him The Governor, which I have shortened appropriately.  He will probably actually be a Governor someday, at which point I will have to delete the naked baby picture of him or face a scandal.

I attended Phillips Academy (Andover), Wesleyan University (B.A., history) and Columbia University's Teachers College (M.A. higher and postsecondary education).  In other words, I like school.  Yes, I was a band geek.  I was also Hometown Christmas Queen.  In college, I directed sports radio and broadcast some ice hockey games.  Afterward, I wrote grants, worked in banking systems, and served in business school admissions at an Ivy League school.  Now, I am an at-home mom.  Writing this blog is part of my intellectual fulfillment.  In my rare spare time, I play tennis and snowboard.  I live between central NJ and Vermont.
